I recently had the pleasure of being a guest on Doubts Aloud, which is a podcast hosted by three ex-Christians (now skeptics), on the topic of miracles. That episode was just released, and I’d love to hear your thoughts! (If you don’t have Apple Podcast, then you should be able to find it on other platforms by searching “Doubts Aloud” and choosing episode 32—the latest)
I think it was probably the best recorded discussion I’ve had with skeptics as far as both sides really hearing each other and largely even agreeing with each other. I even got one of them (if not both) to admit that the data as presented, at least prima facie, is evidence for Christianity. He of course said he thinks the scales tip far to the side of atheism still, but I was glad to have a skeptic take the data for miracles seriously. For anyone following my blog / podcast, you will know that that is my primary goal, regardless of the person’s final explanation of the data. I simply think the data for miracles is too strong and too numerous to simply brush off like most skeptics do.
I have to also give a shout out to Christian, a listener to both my podcast and Doubts Aloud for connecting us. My appearance on that show wouldn’t have happened if it weren’t for him.
Let me know what you think!
